Chamois aren't Chamois. May 9, 2015 15:14
With our continual mantra of providing premium cycling apparel, the chamois is one of the most important features in your cycling apparel. If you’re wearing poor quality cycling knicks it doesn’t take long for you to realize just how important it is to get this piece of apparel right. Saddle sores, chafing and general discomfort are just a few it the thing you might experience with poorly design or cheap cycling Knicks. This can be the difference between have a great day on the bike or complaining to your mates the whole day… From my experience with over 20 years in competitive cycling and triathlon and 1000’s of hours in the saddle you get what you pay for and this is one piece that every dollar is well spent.
At Watt Bomb Apparel our focus is to build a brand that has a reputation as a premium garment designer and supplier which exudes quality, fashion, performance and comfort. We have paid particular attention to source one of the world famous chamois suppliers from Italy in Elastic Interface® who supplies a large portion of the pro-peloton.
What to Look for in a good Chamois?
From all the research over many years in the search for technology and fabric improvements there are some consistent themes that have emerged in finding a comfortable cycling chamois.
Our Elastic Interface® Endurance 2 Superair Chamois is designed specifically with a double layer structure to expel moisture. The chamois has a perforated base layer which ads to the breathability and quick dry nature. One of the reason saddle sore occurs is due to moisture and pressure.
The Elastic Interface® Road Performance chamois is designed specifically with a double layer structure to expel moisture. Ultra high density perineal inserts have been purposely engineered and tailored according to university research and placed in key pressure points for optimum performance when riding in the road bike position.
Most chamois should be well padded with multiple layers of varying foam densities which all server varying purposes. The Endurance 2 Superair Men chamois has centrally sewn inserts and is made with a generation of high density foams. The specially designed X-tract fabric used a double layer structure to expel moisture. The Superair cycling chamois has a perforated base layer which ads to the breathability and quick dry nature keeping you dry and comfortable all day long.

At the end of the day if you don't take the time to find the right chamois your cycling won't be as enjoyable as it should be. With our Infinity bib shorts your set to have a great day on the bike everyday.
